Fidelis has a
passion for Art and we believe that Fine Art is
a fundamental element of our Heritage as part of humankind
and consequentially investing in it is a contribution that allows
investors to trascend the financial aspects of investing and makes
them more noble people. Fidelis is very honored and grateful
to Florens Foundation and Mr. Niccolò Manetti for giving us
the opportunity to participate in this year’s Bienalle and allowing
us to help you reflect about the ethics of investing
in Fine Art. Fidelis Fine
Arts Investments and Ethics Forum’s main objective is to shed
some light on why are investments in fine art ethically
different from investments in securities in the stock exchange. Together
we shall explore subjects like: what is an investment in
fine arts? In what way is such an investment different
from other investments? Is there an ethical component in such
investments? And if so, what is that component? Is there
an ethical element in collecting fine art? Is collecting fine
art an ethical activity? Does someone who is a patron
of the arts operate based on ethics as well as
his/ her love and appreciation for fine arts? Fidelis Fine
Arts Investment and Ethics Forum will be a privileged event
among the activities of Florens 2012 that will bring together
a unique group of the most important Fine Art Patrons,
Collectors and Investors to reflect about the ethical components of
investing in Fine Arts. This Forum
will approach Fine Arts as a heritage of humankind, as
well as the evolution of art forms and their different
meanings through time, reflecting cultural and economical context in which
art is produced. Click here: Questions Fine Arts and Investments Conference Florence
